Imagine if M.C. Escher had decided to make fabric instead of those rather clever drawings. Well, someone has, and the result is quite splendid. This is a stripe, yes, but one that has gone to rather excellent lengths to be interesting. Angled bands dance across the cloth in a rhythmic zigzag that somehow manages to shift between looking flat and wonderfully dimensional, all while maintaining an almost musical quality. The geometry is clean and purposeful, yet softened by subtle textures and a floral palette that keeps things from getting too serious about themselves.
