Handmade Ceramic Ducks from a London Studio. Yes, Really.
Richard Moonstreet Ceramics was born in 2019 when Tex — a ceramicist based in South London — put a beak on a vase he was making, painted it orange, added eyes, and put it in the kiln. He posted a photo on a Facebook group for people who like ducks and woke up the next morning to an inbox full of people asking for more. That was the beginning. Six years later, the studio is still going, the ducks have multiplied into geese, pigeons, and an entire cast of characters with names, personalities, and their own accessories — and Tex still makes every single one by hand from start to finish on a potter's wheel in London.
The range now spans individual duck ornaments to themed collections — 'Ed with the Bread' (holding a baguette), 'Val with the Pal' (with her own yellow bath duck companion), 'Quackson Pollock' (an artist duck), the Silly Goose with Bread Expansion Pack (with bread-slice necklaces that double as napkin rings) — alongside mugs, vases, and the Moon & Street range inspired by London street furniture. Custom commissions are available. Every piece ships in reusable and recyclable packaging. These are gifts people give and keep for life.
