Vintage, Reworked and New. From the Man Who Founded AllSaints.

Stuart Trevor co-founded AllSaints in 1994 and spent the next decade building it into one of the most distinctive fashion brands in the world — the aesthetic defined by a very specific intelligence about garments: military surplus, vintage leather, Victorian Edwardian influences, distressed textures, things that looked as though they had lived before they arrived on the rail. He left AllSaints in 2004 with a conviction that there was a better way to make and sell clothes than producing endless new garments in search of the next trend. His answer is this: reworked vintage, limited vintage finds, and a small collection of new pieces made from organic cotton and deadstock fabric, each one chosen or designed with the same eye that built AllSaints from a single Carnaby Street market stall.

The vintage selection is properly edited — not a warehouse clearance but a curation: 1950s French Air Force Ike jackets, patched RAF jackets, vintage US Military M65 coats, a Royal Regiment of Scotland kilt in pure wool, USAF flight bombers, a vintage black sequinned top that makes complete sense in this company. The new pieces are named with the same dry confidence — Love Will Tear Us Apart indigo jeans, We're into Chaos vest, F*ck Fast Fashion organic cotton tee, Saint T-shirt in ecru. These are clothes for people who know what they like, have largely stopped trusting the fashion industry to provide it, and find Stuart Trevor's approach rather a relief. The world already has more than enough clothes. This is what doing something about it looks like from someone who knows the industry from the inside.
