Söstter Trade is for the people who choose things for a living. Designers and stylists, independent shop and boutique buyers, hospitality buyers from the grand hotels and from the small ones in the middle of nowhere, prop and set dressers, gift concierges — the lot. If your job involves finding rather lovely things on behalf of other people, this is for you.
We are opening Söstter Trade properly in [autumn 2026]. The list below is what we're building. Register your interest at the bottom and we will write to you first.
What you get.
Trade pricing across participating makers. Söstter doesn't hold inventory — every maker on the site is independent — so the discount works per brand rather than as one flat percentage. You'll see the trade price on every product, once you're logged in.
First sight of new makers. We onboard new makers most weeks. Trade members see them — and can shop them — before they appear on the public site.
A proper sourcing service. Have a brief and rather less time than you'd like? Send us a mood board, a Pinterest link, or three lines of prose. We come back with a shortlist from across our makers and boutiques, with notes on stock, lead times, and where in the world they are.
Hold requests on stock. Trade members can place a 48-hour hold on any piece while a client makes up their mind, without the usual indignity of sorry, just sold.
A real person at the other end. Every trade member is paired with someone at Söstter who knows your style and your shortlist. Email, or pick up the telephone — both still work.
Featured in the Söstter Journal. We're commissioning a long-form series called In Conversation With, on the people who use Söstter in their work. If you'd like to be considered, do mention it when you apply.
How this works, roughly.
01 — You apply. Send us an email. Tell us who you are, what you do, and where to find your work. Don't oversell. Or do — we'll cope.
02 — We have a proper look. Usually within a few working days. Your work, your clients, your projects, your social. We're polite, but we are selective.
03 — We get you set up. If we're a fit, we'll walk you through everything. Trade pricing goes live on your account, you meet your contact, and we explain the sourcing service properly.
04 — Off you go. You shop. We notice. We stay in touch.
What we don't do.
Söstter Trade is not wholesale. We don't supply makers' stock at wholesale rates — that's their business, not ours. Members buy at trade prices, for their own projects or shops.
No volume discounts on top. The trade price is the trade price. Spending more doesn't quietly unlock another tier.
No fee, no subscription. Applying is free, membership is free. You only ever pay for what you buy.
